Russell Dickerson is an American country pop singer-songwriter famous for his technique of slyly blending modern R&B and mainstream pop with his natural country twang. One of Spotify's RISE artists who released four consecutive career-starting singles and has reached number one on the Billboard Country Airplay chart since Luke Combs. Dickerson is from Nashville and earned his bachelor's degree at Belmont University and is now known to be on the roster of Sam Hunt and Thomas Rhett. He signed with Creative Artists Agency and was able to open up to other mainstream artists.
Fresh from college and dreaming of becoming a professional country musician, Dickerson gritted his teeth and journeyed to the roads with his music towed behind. When he signed with his first music agency in 2011's, "That's My Girl" didn't gain much traction, but in 2013 he released "Green Light," which became a hit on satellite radio. Dickerson's music developed over the years, morphing into something that will surely get him on the numbers. In 2015, his iconic "Yours" blew up the charts and became a favorite wedding song nationwide. The EP debuted at number 14 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart, selling 2,700 copies in its first week of release. It launched at #2 in the iTunes Country Store and #8 in all genres. It was followed by the sophomore album "Blue Tomoca," also charted #1 on the Country Airplay, and in the same year, "Every Little Thing" reached #1 in the Canadian Hot 100 with 68,000 copies sold in the US. Most recently, Dickerson's current single "She Likes It" ft. Jake Scott has already been certified Gold with 170 million streams to date. Dickerson recently guest starred on the season finale of Call Me Kat and also performed his heartfelt single, "God Gave Me A Girl," on Today.
